Taylor Tiamoyo Harris is a Juvenile Justice Fellow for the Pew Charitable Trusts and the National Association of Black Journalists. Previously, Taylor reported on crime through the lens of accountability and justice for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. In the Greater New York City area, she covered the criminal justice beat for NJ.com/ the Star-Ledger. Other journalism experience includes fellowships and internships with ProPublica’s Data Institute, Thomson Reuters, the Brian Ross Investigative Unit at ABC News, PBS Frontline’s Investigative Reporting Workshop, the Washington Post and the Dallas Morning News.
Taylor has been awarded by the Investigative Reporters and Editors, Online News Association and the National Association of Black Journalists. After relocating to the Midwest in 2019, Taylor served as vice president and education chair for the St. Louis chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists in 2021 and in 2022, president of the chapter and director of its Minority Journalism Workshop for high school students.
Taylor is a proud 2016 graduate of Howard University, her dream school. A native of Dallas, Texas, in her spare time, Taylor enjoys running 5Ks, shopping, traveling and catching up with family and friends.
