Bonsack Gallery Presents Andrew Newman: Plastic Ocean

Photographer Andrew R. Newman twice sailed through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, engaging with a team of scientists, educators and explorers to study the current problem of micro-plastics in our oceans and seas. His exhibition, Plastic Ocean, provides a firsthand view of the so-called "island of plastic" in the Pacific Ocean. It is on exhibit at the Bonsack Gallery located on the campus of John Burroughs School, January 28 through March 29. A reception with the artist will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on March 4.
