The Hard Bop Messengers’ Matt Krieg and John Covelli conceived of this show on a road trip. Regarding the storied band, Krieg says “the precision of their musical thoughts drove their endless pursuit of perfection.” “Lyrically,” Covelli says, “under the radar of the perfect world, there is the story of something broken”. These cohabitating complexities inspired Matt and John to bring this music to new life within the Hard Bop Messengers environment.
