The Wire Pilots

The WirePilots are Dan Rubright, composer and guitarist; Ted Rubright, electro/acoustic percussion; and Ric Vice, upright bass. The St. Louis-based trio plays an eclectic mix of Dan’s compositions with a couple of covers thrown in from time to time. They improvise over chord changes so they’re comfortable calling it jazz or fusion, but there is an underlying pop sensibility that blurs traditional genre boundaries and appeals to listeners of all ages.
