Ben Roethlisberger Disrepects Beef Jerky, Loses Sponsorship Deal

The final bell has tolled for Big Ben's Beef Jerky.

In October, Gut Check listed ten athlete-branded foods of varying ridiculousness. One of the most ridiculous? Big Ben's Beef Jerky.

The Big Ben in question is Ben Roethlisberger, the two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yesterday, Roethlisberger learned that he would not face criminal charges for an alleged sexual assault in Georgia.

Still, the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault proved too much for the maker of Big Ben's Beef Jerky, which has ended its sponsorship deal with Roethlisberger, according to the AP (via ESPN):
