Kmart The vibes at Kmart were always tragic, but the prices were low as heck. If you need a three-pack of crappy t-shirts for $2, Kmart was the place for you. This made it the No. 1 store to torture your children at when buying them back-to-school clothes, because who wants to spend good money on clothes for kids when they’re just going to outgrow them a few months, anyway? Many of the locations had a mini Little Caesars location on site (kind of like the Starbucks counters in Targets now) so you could grab an easy dinner on your way out the door and then your kids could spill tomato sauce on those new shirts and that, friends, is the circle of life.
