St. Louis' Earth Day Festival Brought Crowds to Forest Park
Earthday 365 hosted St. Louis' annual Earth Day Festival in Forest Park on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, as thousands of people flooded the park to uplift the Earth and support local vendors. The festival featured food from local vendors, music performances, free rock climbing, an electric car show and more.
The event took place just outside the Muny. An endless line of booths lined the street promoting sustainability and wellness, as well as teaching Missourians about the importance of caring for the environment. The celebration also included a number of petting zoos where attendees could pet puppies and alpacas, an odd but endearing combination.
Festivalgoers who were not keen on crowds took the opportunity to lay out on a blanket in the grass and soak in that crisp spring air. Local artisans sold clothing, plants, geodes, candles and other sustainably sourced goods.
Missouri may not be known for its environmental consciousness — but on this day, St. Louisans showed that they care.
