Hot air balloons ruled St. Louis skies again this weekend as the the Great Forest Park Balloon race returned again this year, preceded by the Balloon Glow in Forest Park.
At the Balloon Glow, St. Louisans get an up-close look at the huge hot air balloons that they'll soon see flying over their backyards. The family-friendly event happens in Forest Park and hordes of locals visit to gaze at the beautiful illuminated balloons while they chill in the grass.
Around dusk the balloons light up with the glow from their fires and the scene turns from beautiful to magical.
