Hearts broke across St. Louis yesterday with the announcement of the passing of Cardinals great Mike Shannon.

Shannon played for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1962 to 1970 and then served as one of the Redbirds broadcasters from 1972 all the way until 2021.

The born-and-raised St. Louisan was one of the more famous names in the game for the past 50-plus years. Here's what you had to say about the death of a legend.
