Pete Rock, DJ Biko and Chilly C Brought the Party to .ZACK

When one of the most acclaimed hip-hop producers of all time came to town, St. Louis turned out.

Pete Rock's set at .ZACK on Friday, November 10 also featured DJs Biko and Chilly C. Rock, of course, is one of the luminaries associated with hip-hop's 1990s East Coast scene, originally part of the duo Pete Rock & CL Smooth. The evening was part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop thrown by Music at the Intersection — one of 50 concerts, workshops, demonstrations, installations and parties that "celebrate and elevate" hip-hop throughout 2023.

And "celebrate and elevate" provided the mood of the event, which ushered in the weekend with chill, positive vibes. Photographer Theo Welling was there to capture the highlights.
