St. Louis Restaurants We've Lost So Far in 2022 [PHOTOS]
COVID-19, supply-chain issues, worker shortages, rising costs and the grind of an often-difficult industry closed the doors at too many restaurants across greater St. Louis in 2022. We lost some long-time favorites and some that had barely gotten the chance to make their marks upon the region's dining scene.

Covenant Blu-Grand Center
Soul food restaurant Sweetie Pie's Upper Crust closed its doors in September. Sweetie Pie's was in the national news this year because owner Robbie Montgomery's son, James "Tim" Norman, was convicted in a murder-for-hire plot that killed her grandson Andre Montgomery Jr.

Downtown West
Popular French restaurant Vin De Set closed indefinitely after cigarettes started a slow burning blaze in September, devastating the St. Louis community and owners Paul and Wendy Hamilton.

The second time wasn’t the charm for the Mexican street food spot, which closed the original Central West End location in 2016.

The delightful slider-focused restaurant located inside Bluewood Brewing announced it will close on December 23. But owner Tasha Smith teased in an interview with the RFT that this might not be the last we hear of her and her delicious sandwiches.
